Congratulations to McKayla Philippi who ran a 62.03 in the 400 meter last Friday at the Sunrise Conference prelims to advance to the regional finals this coming Friday. Her time beat her previous PR by 1.5 seconds! Great job McKayla and good luck Friday!

Congratulations to PSI client and UNLV track athlete Courtney Miller. She competed in the 2013 Mountain West Outdoor Track & Field Championships hosted at Myron Partridge Stadium and Sheila Tarr-Smith Field in Las Vegas. She finished 8th ...out of 18 in the hammer throw, throwing a distance of 173-11 with a personal best throw of 53.01m! She was the only freshman competing in the hammer competition. Al Harrington of the Orlando Magic is back at PSI preparing for next season. Al is coming back from a knee infection that held him out of most of last season.

Ryan McBean, free agent DT last year with the Baltimore Ravens, is training at PSI getting ready for the upcoming season. Ryan is coming back from a severe ankle injury that kept him out of most of last season.

Congratulations to all the PSI clients who won their events yesterday at the state swim meet. Olivia Barker of Bishop Gorman won the 200 individual medley (2:04.56) and the 100 butterfly (54.52). Izzy Goldsmith of Palo Verde won the 200 f...reestyle (1:50.07) and 100 breaststroke (1:02.71). Amy Lubawy of Bishop Gorman won the 50 free (23.5) and Erin Emery of Palo Verde won the 500 free (4:55.43).

For the boys, Logan Houck of Palo Verde won the 200 free (1:42.63). Adam Henley won the 500 free (4:35.45).

Top Boxer Yuriorkis Gamboa is back at PSI training for an upcoming fight June 8 against Darley Perez in Montreal. Gamboa is 22-0 with 16 KO's. He is a former unified featherweight titleholder and current intermim junior lightweight titleholder. He will move up another weight class to lightweight, to face Perez who is 28-0 with 19 KO's.. The fight will be the HBO-televised co-feature to the Chad Dawson-Adonis Stevenson light heavyweight championship main event.

Recent Indiana University graduate from Las Vegas, NV and PSI client, Cody Miller, claimed the USA Swimming national championship in the 100 breaststroke on August 9 at the Phillips 66 USA Swimming National Championships in Irvine, California. Miller's stunningly fast time of 59.91 also earned him a spot on Team USA for the 2014 Pan Pacific Championships later this month in Australia.

Miller's time is the ninth-fastest in the world this year as he goes under one minute for the first time in his career.
